Prevention Programs
Comprehensive Eviction Defense and Diversion Program
(Monmouth and Ocean Counties)
The primary purpose of the program is to provide a comprehensive and efficient defense against eviction to low-income tenants. The program offers wraparound services including social services support and fast problem solving including access to legal services and financial assistance.
Applicants must meet eligibility criteria which includes, but are not limited to income requirements.
Homelessness Prevention Program
(Monmouth County only)
The focus of the program is to help individuals and families experiencing homelessness to secure permanent housing by assisting with security deposit and up to 2 months rent, if eligible.
Program also assists those with pending evictions with up to 3 months of rent arrears and fees.
Applicants must meet eligibility criteria which includes, but are not limited to income requirements that shall exceed 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI). Strict adherence to NJ Rent Standards.
Relocation and Rental Assistance Programs
(Eligibility criteria varies)
Programs provide support for individuals and families relocating or those at risk of homelessness to avoid eviction and remain stably housed.
